Your World, Our Commitment

LEADING RESPONSIBLY
Our Commitment
Sustainability has always been a strategic priority for Globalia. As a global tourism group, we are aware of the impact our operations can have on the environment. That is why we promote responsible management that boosts efficiency, minimizes the use of natural resources and reduces emissions in all our divisions. From reducing the use of plastics to waste management and compliance with international standards, at Globalia we are committed to continuous improvement and the development of solutions that generate a positive long-term impact.
Certifications & Objectives
Globalia sets ambitious environmental goals, guided by management systems that ensure compliance with legislation and encourage continuous improvement. Air Europa, for example, was a pioneer in the Spanish airline industry when it obtained ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification in 2006 and, subsequently, EMAS registration in 2012. Our objective is clear: to significantly reduce fuel consumption and polluting emissions. Air Europa's 2016-2022 strategic plan includes specific targets such as reducing fuel consumption on long-haul flights by 10% and emissions from Boeing 737s by 10%. To date, a 5.8% reduction in fuel consumption compared to the baseline has already been achieved.
Explore Our Work
Air Europa is leading the sustainable transformation of the airline industry with initiatives that go beyond regulatory compliance. The renewal of its fleet with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft - the most efficient in the market - has led to a 60% reduction in noise impact and a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and emissions. The airline has also introduced innovative measures to reduce aircraft weight, such as a special paint that requires fewer layers, flight manuals in digital format (Electronic Flight Bag), and new lighter catering carts, reducing up to 225 kg per flight. The engine compressor cleaning program also contributes to lower energy consumption.
Sustainability
Globalia's hotel division is also moving steadily towards a more responsible model. Be Live Hotels has been ISO 9001 certified in all its establishments in Spain since 2019, accrediting the quality and consistency of its services. It has also maintained an Environmental Management System certified by the ISO 14001 standard since 2014. The chain has also obtained the prestigious Travelife sustainability seal, which values commitment to the local environment, fair working conditions and social actions in communities. This certification, in force since 2016 in Spain and Portugal, reflects Be Live's real commitment to responsible tourism.

Code of Ethics

Globalia is undergoing a period of significant transformation, embracing new challenges and opportunities that align with the expectations of today’s society.

In this new chapter, we reaffirm our commitment and values as a Group that has consistently operated with integrity and strong ethical principles — foundations that have shaped and strengthened our corporate identity.

This Code of Ethics provides the framework for regulatory compliance within Globalia. It serves as a guiding structure for the responsibilities and conduct of all individuals across the Group.
We present ourselves to stakeholders as a company driven by integrity, transparency, innovation, and a deep commitment to society. We are dedicated to acting responsibly and striving for excellence in everything we do.

Approved by the Board of Directors in May 2025, this Code reflects who we are and how we operate. It establishes the values and principles that guide our daily conduct and includes provisions for corporate criminal liability compliance.

Each Committee operates independently within its respective division and reports to its corresponding Governing Body. All Committees work under the supervision of the Compliance Officer and the Group’s Management Body.
