Air Europa Adds Mario Sandoval to Business Gastronomy

Air Europa partners with chef Mario Sandoval to design Business class menus on medium-haul flights, complementing Martín Berasategui's offerings.

Air Europa further elevates the excellence of its gastronomic offering with a new high-class proposal. The airline has begun collaborating with Mario Sandoval, chef of the two-Michelin-starred restaurant “Coque”, for the design of Business class menus on its medium-haul routes. This collaboration brings together, under the same brand, the Madrid-born chef with Martín Berasategui, who has for years designed the exclusive culinary offering served in Business class on long-haul flights.

The new dishes, which will be served on board starting this coming Sunday, February 1, stand out for their originality and respect for quality and locally sourced ingredients, aspects characteristic of Sandoval's personal style. In this way, the company strengthens its service offering for its customers, who, in addition to enjoying personalized attention, will now have the opportunity to savor these signature creations.

Business class travelers on European routes will be able to choose from four complete menus designed to surprise the senses and satisfy the most discerning palates. From duck ham and brie salad with kiwi vinaigrette to pasta sheets with smoked trout and edible flowers, or coffee with creamy chocolate and cocoa and salt crumble, each dish offers a journey where flavors are united, combining the finest produce with the most delicate preparations.

Mario Sandoval's work joins Air Europa's long-standing relationship with another international master, Martín Berasategui, forming an unprecedented duo in the world of commercial aviation. The Basque chef, who will continue to curate the onboard offering for Business class on long-haul flights, has just completed 50 years of work in haute cuisine, a milestone that was recently recognized at the Air Europa stand during the past edition of Fitur.
