Air Europa takes a further step to elevate the safety of its passengers by becoming the first Spanish company to implement a set of advanced medical support solutions. Through a strategic alliance with MedAire, the airline guarantees the assessment of healthcare professionals in emergency situations, benefiting the more than 12 million passengers it transports annually.

This project expands the response capabilities of both Air Europa and, progressively, Air Europa Express, establishing efficient prevention and intervention systems before takeoff and during the journey.

Integrated Assistance Ecosystem

• Passenger Fit-to-Fly: Digital tool to evaluate passengers on the ground who present recent medical incidents or discomfort before boarding.

• MedAire In-Flight App: Artificial intelligence-guided application, trained with over one million real cases, to assist the crew in medical incidents.

• MedLink Service: Real-time satellite medical advice with aeromedical emergency specialists to support operational decision-making.

Innovation in the Boeing 787 Fleet

In a second phase, Air Europa will equip its long-haul Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet with lightweight ECG devices. These clinical-grade devices are designed to be used by non-medical personnel, allowing complete cardiac data to be recorded and transmitted in real-time to emergency physicians for accurate onboard diagnoses.
